PRESIDENT: Arun Nayakkar
Arun Nayakkar is a current sophomore at Scarsdale High School. He has a vested interest in law and government, driven by a profound belief in the power of legal advocacy to foster order and promote inclusivity within our society. He is specifically interested in finance and international law, and he hopes to find a career in the United Nations. You will find him participating in Mock Trial and Speech & Debate after school. In his pastime, he enjoys reading classical literature, cooking, painting, hanging out with friends, and watching Bollywood films.
VICE PRESIDENT: Anya Gupta
Anya Gupta is a junior at Coppell High School. Her interests lie in DECA competitions, playing chess, and immersing herself in music. She has always been fascinated by the concept of fairness, justice, and equality. She is empathetic and has a strong desire to help those in need. She has started noticing the injustice, inequality, discrimination, and violations of basic human rights around her, and joined Lex Societas to invoke change in the legal to become more equitable.
SECRETARY: Maya Sikand
Maya Sikand is a senior at Shore Regional High School. She is a passionate and dedicated individual with a love for law and politics. She actively participates in Model UN and Mock Trial and is the New Jersey State Director for Youth Legislative Action Center and a Legal Director for The Immigration Organization! She wants to make a positive impact on society and the legal system by promoting accessibility for all groups of people, which is why she joined Lex Socitas.
COMMUNICATIONS DIRECTOR:
Nandini Polarouthu
Nandini is a junior at Homestead High School whose passion for law sparked following the effects of political polarization throughout the pandemic. She is particularly interested in legislative and international law, as she aims to pursue a career in the public sector. As Communications Director, her sights are set on facilitating the development of a strong, passionate community surrounding youth in the legal field. In her free time, she enjoys rowing, music, and baking! She is honored to work with Lex Societas in its mission towards demystifying the law.

Lidia Quiroa Roca
Lidia Quiroa Roca is a junior at West Caldwell Tech. She is dedicated to serving her community and has a passion for politics, advocacy, and law. She uses her voice to raise awareness about important social issues in her community. A true agent of change, she believes in the power of the youth to drive meaningful conversations and inspire action. She is committed to pursuing a career as an immigration lawyer and providing undocumented individuals with the resources and treatment they deserve.
PUBLICATION DIRECTOR:
Yana Zenefski
Yana Zenefski is a senior at Southern Door High School. In and outside of school, she is very passionate about government and works on the state and national levels for the YMCA, High School Democrats of America, and other lobbying/political organizations. When she's not debating or working in government, you can usually find her outside exploring trails and forests in my area as she is an avid plant fanatic and is currently writing a book about her region's natural environment. As an extension, she has become increasingly active in the fight for environmental protections, and she joined Lex Societas in order to broadcast her passion not only for the environment, but other issues such as disability legislation, equal rights, and the general freedoms of Americans.
DEVELOPMENTAL DIRECTOR:
Eden Riebling
Eden Riebling is junior at Horace Mann School and an advocate for educational justice and equity in the schooling of minoritized youth. In addition to her work for Lex Societas, she blogs on education and other policy issues at Next Generation Politics. As a fastpitch softball athlete, Eden has been named a USSSA and Factory Athletics All-American, an Under Armour MVP, and a First Team All-Ivy Prep League shortstop at the Horace Mann School in New York City (Class of ’25).
