The National Board
President: Arun Nayakkar
Arun Nayakkar is a current junior at Scarsdale High School. He has a vested interest in law and government, driven by a profound belief in the power of legal advocacy to foster order and promote inclusivity within our society. He is specifically interested in finance and international law, and he hopes to find a career in the United Nations. You will find him participating in Mock Trial and Speech & Debate after school. In his pastime, he enjoys reading classical literature, cooking, painting, hanging out with friends, and watching Bollywood films.
Vice President: Rehat Sra
Rehat Sra is a junior from California. Passionate for law, her primary legal interest is international relations. She is Lex Societas' Vice President and helps lead and manage various projects and initiatives.
In her free time, she enjoys exploring and learning new languages, as well as reading.
Vice President: Magdalena Mercado
Magdalena Mercado is a junior at Phillips Academy, Andover. With an interest in law, policy, and government, Magdalena has taken the necessary steps to better understand how she can be a voice for change.
In her free time, she continues her long-term passion for music as a singer and enjoys hobbies such as reading the news, creative writing, and thrifting.
Communications Director: Nandini Polarouthu
Nandini is a senior at Homestead High School whose passion for law sparked following the effects of political polarization throughout the pandemic. She is particularly interested in legislative and international law, as she aims to pursue a career in the public sector. Her sights are set on facilitating the development of a strong, passionate community surrounding youth in the legal field. In her free time, she enjoys rowing, music, and baking! She is honored to work with Lex Societas in its mission towards demystifying the law.
Communications Director: Felicia Macari
Felicia Macari is a senior from Minneapolis, Minnesota. She is interested in politics and many diverse aspects of the law, and she spends time pursuing her interests through personal studies, reading, and managing the media team with Lex Societas.
In her free time, she enjoys writing for blogs, playing the flute, and spending time at the gym.
Developmental Director: Lidia Quiroa Roca
Lidia is a senior from New Jersey dedicated to serving her community through her passion for politics, advocacy, and law. A true agent of change, she believes in the power of the youth to drive meaningful conversations and inspire action. Lidia is committed to pursuing a career as an immigration attorney and hopes to continue her passion for serving her community.
Developmental Director: Suri Yang
Yuri is a senior from Texas. She aims to further change in her community through her passion for international law and education, hoping to aid students in identifying their strengths both within and outside of the classroom.
In her free time, she enjoys watching Formula 1!
Publications Director: Rishi Jani
Rishi is a senior from Pennsylvania. He has a passion for criminal law, specifically trial advocacy. His passion for advocacy led him to manage all legal publications spearheaded by Lex Societas.
Rishi enjoys watching Bollywood films, writing, and traveling.
